Long road home

Late at night walking a narrow dirt path
Walking by moonlight, angry clouds above,
Like the raging memories of the life now past
You walk along, wanting it to not hurt, not to last.
Along the line the path splits,
It reminds you of life, the choices that had been taken
You read a sign one way is Hell the other Back Again
Wanting to do things right you need a life to defend.
You want to make it up, want it to not hurt,
You remember what had happened to make life what it was,
